Holes in plaster less than a thumbnai1 in area can easily be filled with a proprietary filler, instead of having to make up a plaster mix. However, larger holes need to be plugged first. Do this by soaking newspaper in water. Screwing it up to the approximate size of the hole and then soaking it in plaster mixed to a creamy consistency. Push the plug into the hole so that it fits flush. When it has dried, fill the rest of the hole with filler and finally smooth down the surface.
