Before laying cork tiles prepare the surface and check for adequate underfloor ventilation. When laying the tiles on a wooden floor always nail them in position as well as applying adhesive. First nail a headless pin in the centre of the tile and then one in each corner. If the floor is not wooden, place heavy weights on the tiles until the glue sets. This can take between two to six hours, depending on the adhesive used. Check with the supplier for suitability.
